About Me
I got into this business as a mortgage loan originator after a successful sales career in corporate America. I was looking for a new industry as the one I was in was rapidly changing and I did not want the travel involved as my family was more important.
The mortgage clients that I worked with came to me because I respond, communicate, and do the right thing. Two years into the industry, I was really starting to see the degradation of the industry and I did not want to work with a shady company, so I started my own mortgage company. This allowed me to serve my clients in the best manner possible and always have their back. . Within a year, I built a steady, reliable business based off of the simple concept of serving my clients. In other words, I treat my clients exactly how I expect to be treated and that is by providing excellent service by taking care of their needs, not mine.
In 2004, I got my real estate license to serve these same clients. I continued to build my business serving my existing clients and the referral business they sent my way. I did zero advertising and all of the businesses I had were in the form of referrals from other clients. As a matter of fact, I took care of them so well that I still get business from some of my original clients 20+ years later.
Serving my clients’ needs is the most important service that I can offer. Yes, I’ve had a successful career in this industry but always putting my clients first has been what catapulted my career.
In 2019, I founded a real estate school to help licensees obtain and maintain their licenses. Having taught real estate professionals for years I noticed a disturbing pattern in real estate education. Real estate material is dry, the education is boring, and students are predominately disengaged which means they were not learning. You can’t do a lot with real estate law and materials, but you can make it engaging; which is exactly what I did with the classes that I have written and I have expanded my real estate school to multiple states.
I own a branch of a nationwide real estate firm in North & South Carolina and have a solid group of amazing real estate agents that work with me. I’ve also published several books for buyers and sellers last year.
When I’m not working, I’m out exploring the great outdoors with my husband Mike and Coco.
Make it a great day!
