About Me

Jen moved to Charlotte in 1991, and considers the Queen City truly home. Prior to joining HM Properties, Jen was the Global Client Service Manager for Grant Thornton’s Financial Services Advisory and spent eight years at Bank of America in various roles. Earlier work experience includes four years at Tribble Creative Group as sales director, four years at HBO® as a customer service and sales trainer, and a year onboard Carnival Cruise Lines.

Jen brings a diverse background in high-touch client-facing and operations roles to her career in residential real estate. She is an energetic and proactive problem-solver and possesses a strong work ethic. She also understands first-hand how a home can inspire and renew. Over the years, she has bought and sold many personal homes, two of which she built, and loves adding her personal touch to a business that is, ultimately, more about people than things. Jen understands the value of becoming connected to a community, whether new to the area or new to the neighborhood, and treasures important moments like crossing a threshold in life and knowing you are quite simply…Home!

Jen has been actively engaged at Myers Park Presbyterian Church for many years, and co-led an adult Sunday School class for nearly 10 years. She holds a B.S. degree in Organizational Communications from Ohio University, and studied English Art and Architecture at Richmond College in Kensington (SW London). She is a proud mom to three amazing young adults…a fabulous daughter who is at UNC-Wilmington and two outstanding step-sons who are at NC State and Berklee College of Music, and is happily married to an amazing man, Layton. They live in Weddington in South Charlotte and appreciate being in close proximity to all the awesome offerings of the Greater Charlotte area. Jen enjoys helping her clients, reading, dancing, staying active, engaging in stimulating conversations, and finding joy in each day!
