Sheryl Powell, REALTOR® at JLA Realty Austin, has represented buyers, sellers, investors, and tenants since 2008. She developed her passion for real estate while serving the community as a business owner through her residential cleaning company in the Houston, Tx area. An entrepreneur by heart, she originated the residential cleaning company and quickly grew the company to take on commercial and new construction clients. After several years of cleaning homes, offices, new construction homes, and managing a crew, she developed a strong desire to serve the community in a larger capacity and began offering remodeling services to the community. After 12 years as a successful business owner, she then decided to pursue her passion to serve the community through real estate, discovered she found her true passion and has successfully assisted her large client base with all of their real estate needs.
The real estate journey for Sheryl Powell originally began in the Houston, Tx area. She started her real estate career with Keller Williams and later joined Century 21. Looking to take her career to another level, she joined JLA Realty and that is when her career took off. After serving the Houston, Tx area for several years and building a large client base, she again had a desire to grow her business. Along with that desire and an 11-yearlong dream to live and sell real estate in Austin, Tx, she made a decision to follow her dream, move, and expand her business into the Austin, Tx area. It has proven to be a great move for her. Not only does she sell homes in Ausitn, Tx, she recruits other agents to join JLA Realty and teaches them how to be successful in their business. She considers this as one of the best decisions she has ever made in her life! What’s not to love about living and selling real estate in Austin, Tx, right??
With each client she serves, Sheryl Powell prides herself on recognizing and serving each individual need. She thrives on educating her clients to help them make quality decisions, setting the right expectations, seamlessly walking them through the process, negotiating the best price, and providing stellar customer service, an experience they will always remember. She considers assisting first time home buyers as an honor and very rewarding. Working with first time home buyers allows her the opportunity to teach her clients everything they need to know about buying a home. It is an honor for her to be the REALTOR® they chose to assist them with the purchase of their very first time. And on the flip side, she is just as passionate about teaching first time home sellers how to sell their first home. Sheryl is also not afraid to help her clients through some of the more difficult situations that life can throw out, like divorce. Every client’s need to sell, buy, lease, or invest is important to her and they all bring an opportunity for Sheryl to do what she does best for her clients no matter what the circumstance may be!!
The biggest part of Sheryl’s business has come from referrals and repeat business. She absolutely loves it when clients come back to her time and time again. She also believes that a referral from a friend or another agent says, “I trust you” and that is one of the biggest compliments you can give her. Her clients continue to cause her business to grow and receive awards year after year however of all the top producer awards, triple crown awards, and annual multimillion dollar production awards Sheryl has received, her clients are still her greatest award!
