Stacy first experienced the San Juan Mountains when she signed up for a two week backpacking trip through the Lizard Head Wilderness with Colorado Outward Bound School right after graduating from Indiana University with a BS in Finance.
The scenery was breathtaking but the trip was no vacation! It was the hardest thing she’d ever done and she vowed to return to enjoy the mountains sans the torture.
She spent the next 16 years as an Institutional Equity Trader in Chicago for Dean Witter, Weeden, and Jefferies, taking a “gap year” at age 27 to backpack around the world.
When she drove in to Telluride on New Years Eve 2006, she was accompanied by her two dogs and two close friends. The ladies
opened the bar “Tommy’s” in January 2007 serving delicious midwestern style butter burgers and PBRs to Telluride’s finest locals
While Tommy’s did not survive the recession, it was a great place to establish long lasting friendships and for Stacy to fall in love with her husband, Doug. Tommy’s closed in the fall of 2009 but locals remember it fondly.
Stacy enjoys living in the Town of Telluride with her husband, daughter, dog, and cat. She loves spending time with her family and friends and the Telluride Earth Guardians, a group of sixth graders working to protect the planet. She was correct when she suspected at age 21 that the San Juan Mountains can be fully enjoyed in comfort!
Stacy brings her strong communication skills, integrity, work ethic and love for the Telluride region to every real estate transaction. It is her genuine pleasure to help clients with all aspects of their real estate needs.
