Lisa M. Faulkner was born and raised in Bessemer, AL and Birmingham, AL respectively attending public schools in both. She later attained a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication with a Specialization in Broadcasting from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. That education afforded her the opportunity to begin her career at the Birmingham News as a News Staff Writer on the Human Interest beat. Lisa transitioned to WTTO-TV 21 for five years as a producer where she could also be seen on screen as the host of the station’s annual Black History vignettes. After leaving WTTO, Lisa brought her experience to Georgia where she continued to garner over 20 years in the media and marketing industries. Her extensive background has allowed her to innovate roles and projects with CNN Interactive, In Touch Ministries, Chick-fil-A, and Creflo Dollar Ministries. During these career years, she also acquired her Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership from Regent University.
Lisa is also the Executive Producer and Talk Show Host of the Radio and TV show, now Podcast, Game Changers with Lisa Faulkner. The show’s reruns are in syndication on most podcast platforms. Lisa also founded PenStar Communications in 2010, a full-service communications consultancy, where she is the Principal.
Lisa now brings those honed skills to her latest entrepreneurial work as a Realtor ® in the real estate industry. Lisa chose Real Estate as a career because she has a long history and fond memories of Real Estate experts who have served her family, and friends and even coached and mentored her through purchasing her first property. Lisa is also impressed by the positive familial influence and legacy the real estate industry can have on individuals. Lisa works to bring the same experience to each client.
Lastly, and most heartfelt, Lisa is studying to be a Minister at the Worship Center Christian Church where Bishop Van Moody is the Pastor. She is a member of the Worship Center’s Leadership Academy Minister in Training program. Lisa is also a member of the Dream Team where she leads and participates in Small Groups.
Lisa Faulkner has transitioned back to Birmingham, AL her home where she spends a lot of her free time with her mother. She is a producer in the purest form and really likes to get stuff done. Lisa also enjoys reading, museums, and the arts, listening to music, writing, studying the Gospels, and dining out.
