Miriam Browne’s career in Real Estate began in New York in 1996. In the historical majestic Hudson Valley, she specialized in Westchester/Putnam counties. Miriam began her career selling vacant land which entailed walking through the woods to find the sites by markers using the Metes and Bounds method, which was a great way to learn the business from the bottom up. She worked with contractors and architects as well as inspection of work sites for clients, then later ventured into single family residences, multi-units, and commercial properties.
Twelve years later she moved back to Marin and after 18 years in the Marin market she made the move to Compass, a technology-driven real estate company. Fusing the best of a brokerage and startup allowed her to elevate her business and provide the best service possible. Miriam is an avid supporter of many Marin County organizations, including the Sausalito Yacht Club, where she sat on the FOC Board of Directors for three years. She is currently involved with the Communications Committee and the Cruise Team, and has actively organized and supported many fundraisers such as “Rock the Rebuild” for the Youth Sailing Foundation (SYSF), raising money for sailing instruction for children in need of assistance and equipment for sailing and sailboat maintenance. In 2017, she joined forces with Zamira Solari and Veronica Gray to raise money for the Puerto Rican Solar Relief Foundation.
Miriam’s most recent fundraising efforts are dedicated to the American Wild HorseCampaign, (AWHC) an organization very close to her heart, where she is heavily involved in raisng funds for the virtual fundraiser “Stay Wild,” in October1, 2020. For centuries, the American mustang has symbolized the character of our nation, strong wild and free! After the Pandemic, 2022 Miriam has continued to support the AWHC and assists in local fundraising events.
